Biography: Sonakshi Sinha was born on 2 June 1987, to actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha. She has two brothers, Luv and Kush Sinha.
Sonakshi Sinha walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2008 and 2009. She commenced her career in Bollywood by debuting in the mega blockbuster, Dabangg (2010). The tremendous success of Dabangg has made many a director sit up and take notice of this unconventional beauty. onakshi Sinha's apparent refusal to share an item number in Shirish Kunder's upcoming fantasy film Joker with Minissha Lamba is becoming a hot topic of discussion in tinselville.
It has been reported that when Minissha Lamba got to know that there will be an item number choreographed on Sonakshi Sinha in the film which also stars Akshay Kumar, Minissha expressed her desire to be part of the item number. However, Sonakshi refused to share the screen space with Minissha.
Minissha has reason enough to be insecure. In the past item numbers like 'munni badnam hui' in Dabangg and 'sheila ki jawani' in Tees Maar Khan have been super hits. Going by the popularity of item numbers, we can say that almost all actresses want to do an item number.
The item number in Joker, to be choreographed by Shirish's wife Farah Khan will now have Sonakshi shake her booty. It was earlier reported that Sonakshi had no interest in doing item numbers. Wonder what happened then to change Sonakshi's mind!
If grapevine has to be believed, Shirish Kunder did not want to upset Minissha too much and so promised to make a special music video for her. However, when questioned, the director and the actress maintained that it was just a creative call that the director had to take.

Sonakshi Sinha over her boyfriend:
Dabangg actress Sonakshi Sinha is now enjoying the success of her debut movie forgetting her past relationship with Fame Cinemas' owner Aditya Shroff. However, Aditya is also not mourning on this break up as he has chosen to move on and going to tie the knot with well known television actress Megha Gupta.
Sonakshi had reportedly opted to move ahead with her Bollywood career when her ex-beau wanted to tie the knot with her. The 22 year old newcomer in Bollywood has much to do in the industry yet so she did not agree to marry 32 year old Aditya at this juncture.
On the other hand, Aditya has reportedly fallen in love with beautiful Megha Gupta in this July and now the couple is planning to take wedding vows in December. Megha debuted in the entertainment industry with Ekta Kapoor's show tele soap 'Kavyanjali'.
Aditya confirmed the news and he was quoted saying that his girlfriend Megha is a lovely girl, whom he met through common friends and after that they started meeting almost every day.
He added very frankly that Megha is an extremely attractive girl and that drew him towards the actress. Speaking about Sonakshi, Shroff said that this is the past and he has forgotten Sonakshi.
A friend of Aditya's was quoted saying that Sonakshi started behaving in a strange way after returning from an outdoor shooting of Dabangg. The friend added that the budding actress stopped all kinds of communication with the Shroff family, whereas she used to visit them almost every day previously.
Sonakshi reportedly wanted to maintain her single status for atleast next six years. And she is right on her part because she has just started her journey in Bollywood with a great blockbuster opposite Salman Khan.

After approaching quite a few big names in Bollywood, actor-director Kamal Hassan seems to have changed his plans of roping in a B-town babe in upcoming Tamil movie Vishwaroobham. The actor has decided to cast South actress! Well, if reports are to be believed, Anushka Shetty, who is on cloud nine with the success of Deiva Thirumagal, has almost sealed the deal to play the female lead role.
Reports claim that Kamal Hassan has ended his search for the leading lady in forthcoming Vishwaroobham. The actor, who saw Anushka Shetty's performance in Deiva Thirumagal and considering her popularity in all regional languages, has recently approached her to cast her in the movie.
The actress has given the verbal consent to pair up Kamal Hassan but she is yet to finalize the deal. It may be recalled that Sonakshi Sinha was intially signed to play the female lead role but she opted out after the movie got delayed.
Meanwhile, Kamal Hassan is reportedly starting the shooting of Vishwaroobham today. The 56-year-old, who has taken the responsibility of directing the film after director Selvaraghavan walked out of the project, will shoot his portions of the film in the first schedule.
4 Sonakshi Sinha hasn’t forgiven Shahid:
Once bitten twice shy. Bollywood"s latest sensation Sonakshi Sinha still seems to have not forgiven actor Shahid Kapoor for giving her the cold shoulders not long ago. Shahid reportedly wants to forget the past and work with her but she is not in the mood to share screen space with him.
It was reported that Sonakshi was supposed to act with Shahid in Mausam and was even ready to give a screen test but the makers of the film ditched her, thinking that they would not look good together on screen. Soon, Sonam Kapoor was roped in and the screen test that was supposed to be done on the actress never happened. This hurt the actress like never before.
Shahid apparently wants to act with Sonakshi now and is said to have sent feelers to her through their common friends but the actress is in no mood to act with him. It looks like Shahid-Sonakhi Jodi will never happen if the latest reports are to be believed.
